Play Therapy

Play Therapy is a therapeutic approach that allows children to express themselves through play. Young children may struggle with traditional talk therapy as they often aren’t ready to verbally communicate their thoughts or feelings, especially in relation to difficult or traumatic events. Play therapy provides a developmentally appropriate form of counselling using a child’s most natural form of communication- play.

Play Therapy Process

  1. Gathering initial information.

  2. Intake meeting.

  3. Weekly play therapy sessions.

  4. Review sessions.

Early Learning Support

Our one-on-one early learning support sessions cater to the individual needs of your child. We set personalised learning goals and tailor our sessions to support your child’s unique abilities, areas of need and learning style. Through individualised instruction we can support your child to make meaningful progress towards their learning goals, develop skills and knowledge and build confidence.

Early Learning Support Sessions Process:

  1. Consultation with parents to identify strengths, areas of need and set learning goals.

  2. Pre-assessment is conducted to gain an understanding of current abilities.

  3. Personalised sessions are planned to target learning goals.

  4. One-on-one sessions are run by a qualified teacher.
